A BRADFORD man has been banned from driving for over two years after he was found behind the wheel over the alcohol limit.

John Jenkinson, 56, of Heatherside, in Baildon, was found with 111 microgrammes (mg) of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his breath last year.

The alcohol limit for drivers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is 35mg per 100 millilitres of breath.

Jenkinson was stopped on Springfield Road, in Baildon, on June 17 last year.

His case was heard at Kirklees Magistrates' Court last week.

Jenkinson admitted to committing the offence and was slapped with a community order following the hearing on Friday, January 26.

The 56-year-old was handed a disqualification, which bans him from driving for 27 months.

He must also complete 100 hours of unpaid work and attend up to 10 Rehabilitation Activity Requirements (RAR) days.

Jenkinson was ordered to pay £620 in court costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
