POLICE were scrambled to the scene after a Land Rover Defender crashed into a building.

Officers were called to the collision on Leeds Road, Hipperholme, shortly after 10.20pm on Sunday.

The vehicle had been "in collision with an outbuilding", according to West Yorkshire Police. 

The occupants of the Defender were not at the scene when police arrived. 

Officers said the Defender had earlier been involved in an incident in Brighouse, where a police vehicle was rammed. 

Police have not released details of any arrests in connection with the incident.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to a road traffic collision on Leeds Road, Hipperhome, at 10.22pm on Sunday in which a silver Land Rover Defender was in collision with an outbuilding.

"The occupants of the Defender were not at the scene when officers arrived.

"The vehicle had earlier been involved in an incident at Bonegate Road, Brighouse, in which a police vehicle was rammed."
