“I'm living proof that where you start in life doesn't determine where you can go.”

That’s the message Adam McTasney, a 36-year-old lorry driver from Bradford, wants to share with the world.

Adam became a social media sensation after documenting his international travels in a 40-tonne truck.

Followed by more than 500,000 people, Adam is living a life of adventure beyond his wildest dreams.

It’s been a long journey from his youth on a troubled council estate and struggling at school.

From leaving school with no GCSEs to joining the army, he has shared what it really means to be on the road to success in his new book.

Adam said: “When I was growing up on a council estate in Bradford and struggling in school with no GCSEs, I never dreamed I'd one day have over 500,000 followers on social media and publish a book.

“I was just a lad trying to figure things out. But joining the army gave me purpose, and getting my trucking license opened up a world of possibilities.

“Driving across Europe showed me new cultures and foods I'd never experienced before. I started sharing my adventures online, not expecting much. But soon people were commenting on how my optimistic outlook was uplifting.

“That inspired me to write 'Shine From Within' to hopefully motivate others. My path has been far from normal, but I'm living proof that where you start in life doesn't determine where you can go.

“With some luck and positivity, you can find opportunities to grow. My book aims to inspire people to embrace kindness, tap into their inner brightness, and live authentically. I never thought I'd author a book, but if my unlikely journey can help others shine, that makes it all worthwhile.”

Living on the road has allowed Adam to save thousands of pounds by avoiding rent and utility bills.

It all began when he earnt his trucking licence in the Royal Logistics Corps in 2004.

He never realised it would take him around the world.

After leaving the army, he applied for an international truck driving job in Galway on a whim.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

It opened the door to cultural experiences all over Europe.

Trucking is just one of his latest ventures, having written two singles in the studio under the name Adam Mctaz.

His bassline-fuelled tracks capture the essence of the trucking lifestyle, Truckers Anthem and Average Speed Check.

He has also started writing a new children's book series called 'Adam The Little Trucker'.

It has inspired a new animated series recently approved for production.

'Shine From Within' explores Adam's thoughts on embracing kindness and self-discovery.

Sharing his own wisdom and practical insights, he hopes to empower readers to live with authenticity and compassion.
