DENTURES, glass eyes and clown costumes are among unusual items left behind in hotel rooms by British holidaymakers, new research shows.
A study by easyJet Holidays revealed that many of the 100 European hotels it surveyed said they stored false teeth in lost property.
Costumes have also been left behind, with one hotel finding a full clown outfit, complete with shoes, wig and red nose.
Some British guests checked out without their prosthetic limbs or glass eye, while easyJet said wedding rings are regularly left behind.
Matt Callaghan, chief operating officer at easyJet Holidays said: “Our research with our hotel partners has been interesting and some of the lost and found items are unusual, but we’re pleased to see that our customers have been enjoying themselves.”
The top 10 most unusual items left behind in easyJet holidays hotel rooms were said to be:
1. Dentures
2. Witchcraft paraphernalia
3. Prosthetic limbs
4. Glass eye
5. Grandma’s ‘lucky’ tea cup
6. Thousands of German Marks
7. Clown costume
8. Inflatable boat
9. Caviar
10. Rosary beads
