A MAN was taken to hospital after he came off his bike on an icy road.
West Yorkshire Police came across the incident at 4.25pm on Wednesday (January 17).
The rider, in his sixties, was taken to hospital by ambulance.
No other vehicle was involved and police said icy conditions were thought to have been a factor.
The road was closed as officers worked to clear the scene, but reopened at around 6pm.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: "At 4.25pm yesterday, police came across an incident where a man had come off his motorbike in Tong Road, Armley, at the junction with Whingate.
"The rider, aged in his sixties, was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
"No other vehicle was involved, and icy conditions were thought to have been a factor. The scene cleared and the road re-opened at about 6pm."
