The Lord Mayor is set to hold a special evening for a 125-year-old charity which improves the lives of Bradford's underprivileged children.

Councillor Gerry Barker, the Lord Mayor Of Bradford, will raise funds through an evening with the City of Bradford Brass Band.

The event, Lord Mayor Hits The High Notes, is taking place at the Midland Hotel on Thursday, January 18.

It will also feature well renowned flamenco guitarist Samuel Moore.

For 2024, the Lord Mayor has chosen to support the Cinderella club.

The charity organises activities for children alongside their school friends and helps those in need get items they need or desire, that others may take for granted.

Tickets for the evening costs £20 per person and include a hot supper.

Those interested in attending should contact the Lord Mayors Office on 01274 434965 or email lordmayorsappeal@bradford.gov.uk
