A BALACLAVA-CLAD male who tried to escape police in a foot chase around a Bradford area was arrested.
The individual reportedly had "items on his person used to go equipped for burglary".
The chase ensued on Southfield Lane in Great Horton in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, January 9).
When the male saw the police vehicle he attempted to make off.
Following the chase, West Yorkshire Police officers managed to detain him and make the arrest.
A spokesperson for the force added: "In the early hours of Tuesday, January 9, officers from Bradford South Response Team 1 sighted a balaclava-clad male on Southfield Lane, Great Horton.
"When the male sighted the police vehicle he made off on foot.
"Following an extended foot chase, officers eventually detained the male who had items on his person used to go equipped for burglary.
"The male was then arrested."
