A FORMER Detective Inspector in the Bradford district has been charged with a sexual offence.
Claudine Binns, 49, has been charged with sexual assault by penetration and is due to appear at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court next Monday.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The charge relates to an off-duty offence.
"She was working as a Detective Inspector in Bradford district at the time of her arrest in May 2022 and was suspended from duty.
"She has since retired from West Yorkshire Police."
