People have been urged to take care as Storm Pia brings high winds to Bradford district.
A notably deep area of low pressure - named Storm Pia by the Danish Met Service - will track to the north of the UK over the Norwegian Sea throughout today and this evening.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind across most of the country - including West Yorkshire - between midnight and 9pm on Thursday, December 21.
The warning states: "Strong winds across a large swathe of the country Thursday, causing some travel disruption."
The weather agency has forecast disruption to bus and train services, delays to road, air, and ferry transport, as well as short term loss of power and other services.
In Bradford, the maximum temperature is expected to be 10 degrees, with wind gusts reaching up to 61mph.
