YOUNG people from Holme Wood and Bradford Council’s Youth Service and Neighbourhoods Teams have brought some Christmas cheer to the estate by creating a Christmas garden at the TFD Community Centre.
Thanks to a £200 donation from Ridesafe Motorcycle School, the team was able buy decorations and lights. The garden has now been fully trimmed with Christmas trees, lights, tinsel, and baubles.
The TFD Centre is a community centre and hub on the Holme Wood estate, housing youth services, a library, gym, sports centre and hosts a range of community activities. The garden underwent a makeover, recently, through the Probation Service’s Community Payback Scheme.
Councillor Abdul Jabar, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Community Safety, said: “The young people who have helped to create this garden set a great example in doing something really positive for their community.”
