A BRADFORD man is due to go on trial next year after he pleaded not guilty to kidnap.

Cordons were put up in the village of Calverley in Leeds on October 18 as part of a police investigation.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said the cordons - at Woodhall Road and Carr Hill Road - related to an incident in Bradford where a man was allegedly taken against his will.

Officers confirmed the man was found safe with no serious injuries.

The force subsequently confirmed Isa Ishtiaq, 20, of Woodhall Place, Bradford, was charged with kidnap.

Ishtiaq has now appeared before Bradford Crown Court and denied that charge.

He is due to stand trial at the court on February 5 next year.
