A CYCLIST was taken to hospital this morning after a crash.

Police were called to Coach Road, Baildon, at rush hour today to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "We were called at 8.08am today to Coach Road to a collision between a cyclist and a vehicle

"The rider of the bicycle has been taken to hospital to be checked over."

A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance said: "We received an emergency call at 8.02am on Thursday morning to a report of a collision between a car and a cyclist on Coach Road, Bradford

"An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was conveyed to Bradford Royal Infirmary."

There was slow traffic between Green Lane and Fernbank Drive while emergency services worked at the scene.
