NORTHERN says services across its network are disrupted this evening due to "multiple weather-related incidents".
A spokesperson said customers are advised to check before travelling and allow extra time for journeys.
Ongoing incidents
A tree is blocking the railway at New Pudsey, which means all lines are blocked, Northern says.
"Disruption is expected until further notice," says the train operator.
"Network Rail engineers are on site shortly to assess the situation."
Meanwhile, services between York and Leeds via Harrogate are currently disrupted due to flooding in the Horsforth area.
Network Rail engineers are on site and expect the issue to last until the end of service.
There is also damage to overhead wires at Manchester Piccadilly, which is blocking some lines and causing disruption.
"Train services running across the whole Northern network will be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes," it says.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
