A LISTED Bradford building could be converted back into an office if plans are approved.
Southern House, 18 Lumb Lane, is one of the city’s many protected Victorian buildings – having been awarded a Grade-II listing in 1983.
The building had been used as an office, but in 1999 planning permission was granted to convert the property for residential use.
For much of the time since then the building’s ground floor windows have been boarded up, with only the upper floor used.
Now a planning application has been submitted to Bradford Council to convert the building back into office use.
The plans have been submitted by M Rafaquat, and although no details have been given of what business will be based there, the application says it will create five full-time jobs.
A separate application for work to a listed building has also been submitted.
Decisions are due on the two applications in the New Year.
