Residents were asked to shut their doors and windows due to a 'smoke plume' caused by the fire.

Otley Road was closed both ways y - from West Busk Lane (Otley) to the A65 (Menston) - for most of Sunday.

One local resident described the scene of the fire and said he heard explosions of cannisters during the blaze.

The resident said: "It was bad for a period of 20 to 30 minutes. I heard a few going off.

He added: "I was concerned for the safety of everyone around the area or who was involved and I hope the fire service are all OK."
