A MAN who "demonstrated a clear intent to commit sexual offending against young children" has been jailed.
David Houldsworth, 58, of Skipton Road, Keighley, was arrested following a live Facebook sting.
He later admitted two charges - sexual communication with a child and causing/inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Houldsworth was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on Wednesday.
He was jailed for two years, made to sign the sex offenders' register for 10 years, and will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order when he is released.
Detective Constable Adam Flaxington, from Bradford police's online investigations team, said: “This was a lengthy two-year investigation and I welcome the guilty plea and sentence the courts have handed down.
“In Houldsworth’s conversations he demonstrated clear intent to commit sexual offending against young children, and it is fortunate the person he thought he was speaking with wasn't a child.”
