REMEMBRANCE Day or Remembrance Sunday takes place every year on the Sunday nearest to November 11.
Ceremonies are held across the country to remember those who gave their lives in World War One and other conflicts across the globe.
November 11 is also known as Armistice Day when a two-minute silence takes place.
The silence coincides with the time in 1918 at which World War One came to an end and is observed at war memorials and in public places throughout the UK and Commonwealth. This has been observed every year since 1919.
In common with other towns and cities across Britain, a Remembrance Day parade is in held in Bradford where people gather to honor and respect those who lost their lives.
Other events are also held, involving people of all ages.
