A DOG has been dyed in "firework colours" ahead of Bonfire Night this weekend.

Officers from the British Transport Police visited a cafe in West Yorkshire to meet Bruce today (Friday, November 3).

Don't worry animal lovers, the dye is temporary and dog-friendly.

It comes as the British Transport Police asked people to "stay safe" on the railway this weekend and report anything to them that may seem suspicious.

A tweet from the BTP West Yorkshire X account read: "Today officers met Bruce who’s ready for Bonfire night with his firework colours.

"Please stay safe on the railway this weekend and report anything suspicious to #61016 or in an emergency ring 999.
