POP rock musical Tick, Tick... Boom! hits the stage at Bradford Playhouse.

The show, running from November 8-11, is an 'autobiographical masterpiece' by Jonathan Larson, who wrote popular musical Rent.

The story revolves around Jon, a talented composer on the cusp of turning 30, who finds himself at a crossroads as he balances dreams of Broadway stardom with the reality of waiting tables.

His world further spirals when his girlfriend expresses a desire for marriage and to move out of the city, while his best friend joins the corporate world.

Director David Ayres says that, with a gripping narrative and dynamic score, the musical "not only explores the challenges of pursuing one's passion but also offers a poignant reflection on defining success on one's own terms".

Adds David: "Tick, Tick... Boom! is a raw and honest portrayal of the artist's journey. I'm thrilled to bring this compelling story to the stage at Bradford Playhouse. It's a testament to the enduring relevance of Larson's work."

Producer Megan Wilson says: "We are proud to showcase the incredible talent of our cast and crew in this production.

"Tick, Tick... Boom! embodies the heart and soul of the theatre, and we believe it will leave a lasting impact on our audience."
