POLICE have tonight revealed that an 83-year-old woman was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Keighley today.
The woman was crossing the road at the junction of Park Lane and Long Lee Lane just before 11.15am when she was in collision with a white Rover 418 car travelling up Park Lane, away from Keighley town centre.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the car has been spoken to.
Long Lee Lane was cordoned off by police following the incident.
Traffic monitoring site Inrix said the road reopened at around 5.15pm.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the movements of the pedestrian or vehicle prior to it, is asked to contact West Yorkshire Police's roads policing unit on 101 or by using the 101 live chat on the force's website.
Anyone with footage which may assist the investigation is also asked to get in touch with the team.
