POLICE made a startling discovery after stopping a vehicle in the district.
Officers stopped a car in Bingley only to discover the person behind the wheel had reportedly been driving on a provisional licence since 1991.
Sergeant Terri Green, who heads up the Baildon, Bingley and Bingley Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), posted on X, formerly Twitter: "Baildon and Bingley officers seized this car last night in Bingley.
"No insurance and driving on a provisional licence - since 1991. Yes, you read that right - 1991.
"Driver reported."
The Shipley NPT added: "The driver was reported for no insurance, but also for driving otherwise in accordance with a licence as she has been driving on her provisional only licence since 1991."
