A BRADFORD clinic that’s been serving its community for nearly 40 years has been shortlisted for national awards.

Eccleshill Dental off Rillington Mead, Harrogate Road, has been named as a finalist for the north in four categories at the Private Dentistry awards.

Those categories are Best Patient Care, Most Improved Practice, Practice Brand and Design and Practice Manager of the year at the Private Dentistry awards.

This is the first time the practice has been shortlisted for these prestigious awards.

Owner, Karan Rishi, said: "With regards to these awards, it's a massive achievement to be finalists in four different categories at the Private Dentistry awards including Best Patieng Care.

“It is the culmination of years of hard work and commitment to continuing improvement.

“I'm really proud of all our team and hugely thankful to the support and trust of all our wonderful patients.”

Mr Rishi, a lifelong Bradfordian, is glad he is serving his community and growing in the area.

The practice moved into its new premises seven years ago having outgrown its previous spot.

Mr Rishi, who has had the practice for nearly 16 years, was keen to stay in Eccleshill and help in its development by converting an unused pub into its new practice.

He said: “It’s fantastic to remain serving our local community.

“When our growth meant we needed to build a new practice, I was always fixed on staying within Eccleshill and Bradford.

“Locating a new location wasn't easy but it was an added bonus that we could re-purpose the then unused and abandoned Eccleshill Clinic, off Harrogate Road.

“We have managed to build this amazing, calm and state-of-the-art practice for our patients and team.

“Becoming finalists in the categories of Most Improved Practice along with Brand and Design is a recognition of this transformation.”

The team will be heading to London later this year for the awards ceremony where they hope their success will be recognised.

“It's a really exciting time for all of us and we're looking forward to the awards themselves in London,” he said.
