A BRADFORD restaurant is confident it will rectify issues raised during an inspection where it received a one-star hygiene rating.

Mi Chaii at Unit 4, 131 Great Horton Road, received a rating of one following an inspection by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) on September 18.

An inspector said major improvement was necessary in the management of food safety at the Great Horton branch.

The inspector also reported that improvement was necessary in the cleanliness and condition of facilities and the building.

A spokesman for Mi Chaii said the one rating was given due to the detail over how the company records its temperature records.

“Our management system is now entirely online,” said the spokesman when referring to discarded paperwork. “Our aim is to cut down on our carbon footprint and reduce the amount the plastic we use.

“This is a technical issue which can easily be rectified. Things have been undertaken and we’ve made arrangements for a re-visit by an inspector.

“I’m more than confident in our management and staff get us back to a five-star rating like our other branches.”
