POLICE seized multiple vehicles including a van which had not been taxed since 2022.
West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team - the force's dedicated initiative for tackling anti-social and dangerous driving - were out on an operation in the Great Horton area of Bradford last night.
They posted on X, formerly Twitter, about five vehicles the team seized across the evening.
One of them was a Mitsubishi dropside van that was stopped on Great Horton Road.
It was not displaying a rear registration plate and when police pulled the driver over, checks showed the vehicle had not been taxed since December 6 last year.
The van was seized and the driver was reported for both offences.
Officers also brought a black car to a halt on Frimley Drive, as it was showing as being uninsured.
Further analysis showed the vehicle's insurance had expired and not been renewed.
The car was seized and the driver was reported for the offence.
Finally, the team seized three other vehicles for no insurance, the last of which was a white van in Bartle Lane.
All three drivers were reported for the relevant offences.
The post on X for this part of the operation said: "One of another 3 vehicles seized for no insurance during our operation this evening targeting the Great Horton area.
"All drivers reported for the relevant offences."
