HALLOWEEN is just around the corner - the time of year when many children dress up, knock on doors, and ask people for sweets and money.
While many residents see it as a bit of harmless fun, others think it should be banned.
West Yorkshire Police has produced a poster for people to display if they do not want trick-or-treaters to call.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Don't want trick-or-treaters this Halloween?
"Halloween can leave some people feeling anxious.
"We are sharing our poster which can displayed in homes if you or someone you know doesn't want trick-or-treaters this year.
"If you see this poster in someone's window, please, respect their wishes and move on to the next house."
The poster can be downloaded via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/halloween
