THE Government's Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) has released a statement on an incident involving a plane at Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA).
It happened on October 9, 2022, when smoke was reported in the cockpit of a plane after it landed at the Yeadon airport.
At the time, a spokesperson for Leeds Bradford Airport said "precautionary emergency procedures were followed" at LBA.
They added: "However nobody was harmed in the incident and the flight landed safely.
"Normal services at LBA resumed quickly."
The AAIB statement provides an update on the investigation into the serious incident involving an ATR 72-212 A, G-CMFI.
A spokesperson for the AAIB said: "Smoke was present in the cockpit as the aircraft was vacating the runway after landing. A rapid disembarkation was conducted and no injuries were reported.
"The investigation is ongoing and the final report will be published in due course."
