COUNCIL bosses will be asked for an update on the almost-completed One City Park development at a meeting on Tuesday.
Work on the £35m Grade A office development on the edge of City Park is in its final stages, including the completion of a public park area behind the office block.
The development was brought forward by Bradford Council, with help in the form of a £7.5m Government grant.
During a tour of major city centre developments early last month, Simon Dew of Muse Developments – the company that built the office space on behalf of Bradford Council, described the building as “the only new Grade A office that has been built in the city centre for 20 years".
He argued the existing office space on offer in Bradford had not been good enough for many years.
He said an announcement on the first tenants was expected in mid-September.
However, the announcement has yet to be made.
At a meeting of Bradford Council on Tuesday evening, Councillor Aneela Ahmed (Lab, City) will ask: “Please can the portfolio holder give me an update on One City Park?
“Do we have more information on the building’s tenants and when it will be completed and fit out for opening?”
