A NATIONAL discount retailer will create 30 new jobs with a new store in a Bradford retail park.

Created by the original founders of Poundworld Retail Ltd, value retailer One Beyond will open in Forster Square Retail Park in the former Pets at Home unit.

The pet store closed on August 31 after the retailer reached an end-of-lease agreement.

One Beyond will open its doors at 10am on Friday, October 20.

One Beyond has invested a six-figure sum into the opening of the store, creating 30 retail jobs for the city.

Chris Edwards, creator and managing director of One Beyond said: “We’re really pleased to be returning to Bradford in a great location at Forster Square.

“Our previous brand One Below had a store just a couple of doors down from our new location.

“One Beyond has all the same amazing value £1 items that One Below offered, with added value multi-price items too.

“We offer thousands of exciting products that would usually be more expensive elsewhere, so we hope that our low prices will benefit the local community.”

The concept behind One Beyond is to offer more than 4,000 quality products for £1 - but the brand says there are hundreds of incredible finds that go beyond £1.

One Beyond offers discount prices on a wide range of branded and on-trend items including beauty and personal care, cleaning, toys and tech accessories, as well as home and pet supplies.

A One Beyond spokesperson also said it has launched its biggest Halloween range yet.

Popular items in stores at the moment include a trick-or-treat bucket for £1, a branded Barbie stationery backpack for £3, a portable wireless Bluetooth speaker for £5, and, in time for winter, an upright fan heater for £10.

One Beyond stocks a range of well-known household brands such as Coca-Cola, Pedigree, Heinz, Kellogg’s, and Cadbury’s.
