The return of TV’s Strictly Come Dancing has inspired us to dip into the archives and share these photos of ballroom dancing in Bradford over the years.
Pictured above is the Tudor Cafe Ballroom at Dudley Hill, where Yorkshire Professional Dance Champions Dulcie Page and Ernest Burton taught a dance class.
The couple won many professional dance competitions, at venues including Blackpool Tower. Says their son Garth Cawood: “I still meet people whose parents were taught to dance by them.”
