THE headquarters of a housing company has been put on the market for almost £2 million.

Earlier this year Accent Housing announced that its headquarters – Charlestown House in Baildon -  would be sold due to plans to relocate the company to a smaller and more “flexible” location.

It has since been revealed that the company, which employs 450 people, will be moving to Scorex House in Bradford city centre.

Now Charlestown House, which has 40,000 square foot of office space and 94-space car park, has been placed on the market with an asking price of £1,950,000.

Estate agents Mark Brearley & Co’s listing for the property says: “Charlestown House provides good quality office accommodation spread over four levels, together with excellent secure basement storage accommodation.

"The building has large floor plates in the region of 8,000 square feet each, and has a good specification.”
