A PERSON has been arrested after they allegedly kicked a police car and tried to flee the scene.

Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Operation Steerside Team - the force's dedicated initiative for tackling anti-social and dangerous driving - came across an individual in the Ravenscliffe area of Bradford yesterday who predicted their own arrest.

The person said "what you gonna do, lock me up for damage?", according to a spokesperson for the Steerside team.

The suspect then allegedly kicked a police vehicle and attempted to run away but was caught by officers.

They were detained and also arrested in relation to the theft of a high-value pedal cycle.
