AS STUDENTS Return to university we thought we would take a bird's-eye look at the University of Bradford.
The hub of the campus, the Richmond Building, with its blue facade, can clearly be seen. The Richmond Building, formerly known as Main Building of the Bradford Institute of Technology, was named after the street it was built on. It was formally opened in June 1965 by Prime Minister Harold Wilson, the University's first chancellor.
The picture was taken in August 2007 by Telegraph & Argus photographer Mike Simmonds.
You can see accommodation blocks in the bottom left-hand corner and centre bottom, while Great Horton Road snakes along to the right. Bradford College can be seen further down the road towards Bradford city centre.
