FURTHER details have emerged after a car smashed into the side of a Bradford district house last night.

Four males were hospitalised with one being arrested after a green Ford Fiesta crashed into a property on Green Road in Baildon at around 8pm.

A 26-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and a 16-year-old were seriously injured.

A 15 and 22-year-old were treated for injuries that were not considered serious.

A police cordon was put in place overnight as the ambulance, fire service, and Northern Gas Networks also attended the scene.

Social media reports had indicated a gas pipe was damaged leading to the address.

Northern Gas Networks has told the Telegraph & Argus it was the meter box that was damaged and no gas leaks occurred.

A spokesperson for the energy company said: "Northern Gas Networks attended a property on Green Road, Baildon, on the evening of Friday, September 29 following a road traffic accident. 

"Jimmy Andrews, NGN Area Team Manager, confirmed they attended the property to find a damaged meter box, with no gas leaks.

"The area was made safe and our team were on site again today, Saturday, September 30, to continue the work.

"I would like to thank everyone for their help in this matter including our team who have worked hard to ensure all damage has been repaired and is now complete."

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson added: "At 8.28pm last night, police were called to a road traffic collision in Green Road, Baildon. 

"A green Ford Fiesta had left the road and collided with a wall and then a house. 

"Four males from the vehicle were taken to hospital for treatment.  

"A 26-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy remain in hospital in a serious condition.

"A 15-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man were treated for injuries that were not considered serious. 

"The 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and enquiries are ongoing.
