A NEW brunch spot hidden in a cosy pub is serving up ‘create your plate’ full English breakfasts, Huevos Rancheros, brownies and more.

Brunch Club is a venture run by mum and son duo Joanne and Jaymi Harris within The Ring O’ Bells, Thornton.

Sweet lovers can find maple bacon or creme brulee French toast as well as cereal bowls, avocado toast and cakes.

You can also tuck into homemade hash browns topped with hollandaise eggs and salmon or loaded eggs with halloumi, avocado, and sourdough bread.

Everything on the menu is gluten free, Jaymi said, while there’s options for vegetarians too.

Whether it’s serving coffee, biscoff lattes, or iced mochas, Brunch Club is a dream come true for the Harris family.

It is inspired by places for brunch you might find in city centres like Leeds and Manchester.

“I’ve always wanted a coffee shop and sandwich shop and mum’s always been like, restaurants,” said 28-year-old Jaymi.

“We wanted somewhere that’s comfortable and cosy. We wanted to create a place where people can just relax and treat it like it’s your living room, but have the best food and coffee.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

“We wanted something you can’t really get anywhere else. Everything’s made in house. All the cakes, all the brownies. The only thing we buy in is the bread and that’s from a local baker. It’s the best quality we can provide.

“We’ve got our own version of brunch. We wanted to lift everything we send out. Everything on the menu is gluten free. We have the standard sausage sandwich, full English breakfast, eggs on toast, everything like that. Huevos Rancheros, soft shell tacos with avocado, refried beans, eggs, spicy sauce, and feta.

“We also do lunch, lots of sandwiches, fish and chips. We’ve got granola bowls, French toasts.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

“We gritted through Covid and everybody wants something you can't really cook at home. People have a lot higher expectations.

“We’ve not had any negative feedback. The word’s started to get out there more. It’s getting busier. People are really enjoying it.”

It is also home to afternoon teas and Baby Brunch Club, which takes place every Friday between 9am and noon.

Parents can let their baby crawl around on a soft mat or play with toys which are cleaned after every event.

“It’s more the fact it’s somewhere to go,” Jaymi said.

“Say you’ve got a toddler, new born baby or you’re a new parent, and you’re a little bit nervous to take them out.

“It’s just a little space you can relax in with your child. You can get together with friends. We put out soft mats for them to crawl around, toys out.”

Brunch Club is open on Wednesday and Sunday mornings until noon with extended opening times on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
