Summer maybe over, but staff and residents at Britannia Care can reflect on a summer well spent, having made the most of the past few months with daytrips, excursions, and visits to Bradford’s excellent parks.

But staff are not resting on their laurels, with autumn under way and winter just around the corner, there is plenty of planning to be done; looking ahead to Diwali in November and then Christmas, as well as Halloween and Bonfire Night.

Britannia’s holistic approach to care is an important part of the company’s ethos, especially when caring for people who fall in to the four main categories of people who require care - the elderly, people with dementia, people with physical disabilities and those with a mental disability.

If you live in the Bradford area and have a loved one who falls into one of those four categories, then Britannia Care should be at of the top of your list of care providers you need to speak too.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus: Britannia Care is set up to care for people who fall into those categories, both on the practical side as well as the holistic approach.

On the practical, bricks and mortar side, Britannia Care is a purpose-built care home, designed and fully equipped to look after the needs of the people they care for, especially within the four categories previously mentioned – corridors and doors are wide, enabling the smooth passage of those who use a wheelchair or other supportive aids. There is lift access to all floors – again, designed to accommodate wheelchairs and supportive aids used by the residents.

But without doubt, the Britannia’s biggest asset in delivering the holistic care which underpins their ethos of care, is the staff – all of whom are highly trained professionals.

Mr Chaudhry Khan, director and founder of Britannia Care, said: “At Britannia Care we have created a community which reflects the diversity of the communities we all live in.

“We believe that this approach benefits our residents, improves their wellbeing, and allows people to build friendships.

“All our staff are highly trained and believe that the individual is treated as a human being, not as a patient or service user. This makes a huge difference to our residents.”

As well as priding themselves the facilities, activities and the level of care provided by Britannia Care’s highly trained staff, the group also pride themselves on being very approachable, ensuring that there will be a member of staff who you can talk to, who is only too happy to guide you through all you need to know about placing a loved one in Britannia’s care.

Added Anis Khan, also a director at Britannia Care:“It is of vital importance that we make it as easy and as smooth as possible for people to contact us, to be able to talk through with us what they require, what they want for a loved one who has reached a point where they need professional care.

“Such moments are difficult for families,” said Mazhar, deputy manager, “and we fully understand that, at these crucial periods, families need to be able to speak to someone in an open and honest way, confident in the knowledge that their concerns will be treated in a confidential manner.”
