FURTHER details have emerged relating to a key part of the restored Bradford Live building.

The city centre site, a cinema and theatre in the past, is set to be transformed into a 3,800-capacity live music venue in 2024 after being empty for more than two decades.

Last week, a side of the building was revealed with scaffolding and large coverings removed.

Now, it has been confirmed the metal frames in the turrets and the former restaurant have been restored and refurbished.

The work was carried out by Brighouse firm Design Glass Ltd - which specialises in the manufacture and installation of leaded lights and stained glass.

A post on the Bradford Live Facebook page added: "We think they look pretty spectacular!"

Bradford Live has a long-term lease from the building owner, Bradford Council, and has an agreement in place to sublease it to the NEC Group as operator in what is a 30-year deal.
Opening in 1930 as the New Victoria, the building changed its name to The Gaumont in 1950.

For three decades after 1969, the building operated as an Odeon cinema and Top Rank bingo club, before finally closing its doors in 2000.
