A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of arson after firefighters were called to fight a dramatic car blaze that created a "running fuel fire" down a Bradford street.
Firefighters were called to reports of two cars ablaze at Brearcliffe Grove in Wibsey on Tuesday at 10.30pm.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a car fire on Brearcliffe Grove at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, September 5.
"The 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of arson. He’s been bailed pending further enquiries.
"Enquiries are ongoing by Bradford CID."
A picture, sent in by a T&A reader, shows the extent of the fire.
Smoke can be seen billowing into the sky as the fire took hold of the vehicles.
Three fire engines, including one from Odsal and two from Bradford, were at the scene.
"There were two cars on fire, but fortunately it didn't spread to the houses," said a spokesperson for Odsal Fire Station.
"It created a running fuel fire down the road."
