A "SUSPICIOUS item" forced the evacuation of Bradford Interchange station this morning (Monday).
Emergency services, including a number of police vehicles and at least two fire engines, were called to the scene of an incident in Bradford city centre this morning.
Bridge Street outside St George's Hall and Bradford Interchange was blocked around mid-morning.
"Police were called to reports of a suspicious item at Bradford Interchange at 9:11am this morning," said a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police. "Further investigation established that the item was not suspicious."
In a post this morning on X, former Twitter, Metrotravelnews said: "Bradford Interchange Bus Station is currently being evacuated.
One local resident also reported that the station had been evacuated.
The scene was cleared, the station re-opened and bus and train services resumed later in the morning.
