RUGBY league clubs Bradford Bulls and Featherstone Rovers are investigating after some fans were ejected following a disturbance at Odsal Stadium yesterday (Sunday).

Jason Hirst, Chief Executive Officer of Bradford Bulls, said: "Following isolated incidents at our match yesterday, the Bradford Bulls are assisting Featherstone Rovers in identifying those ejected from the ground.

"Appropriate action will then be taken by the clubs."

The Telegraph & Argus has received reports from those attending that there were "disgraceful scenes" involving fighting.

Another person said there was an "altercation" and allegedly punches were thrown and stewards were on the scene.

The T&A contacted West Yorkshire Police but they said they had received no reports of incidents from the game.

Bradford South MP Judith Cummins said: "I was at the match on Sunday and this isolated incident was not at all typical of the positive mood on the day, despite a bit of disappointment at the Bulls’ result. The overwhelming majority of Rugby League fans have long-prided themselves on making the sport welcoming and family friendly.

"This unacceptable behaviour is not what we want or expect to see. It has no place in our wonderful sport, and I praise the stadium team for responding swiftly and appropriately."
