A BRADFORD artist has created two new paintings which reflect nostalgic childhood memories.

Bob Barker, an artist with Castle Fine Art, takes the viewer back to the freedom of being young, with two Summer 2023 limited edition works of art from his From Yesterday to Here collection.

The two paintings are titled Tiddlers and Whacky Racers.

Pudsey-born Bob now lives in Bradford and after several careers - butcher, videographer and owner of a media and production house - he can now spend all his time with his first love, painting.

“Artists focus on the magical light of St Ives and the romanticism of Paris,” said Bob. “I want to show that the light of northern England is as enrapturing and beautiful as any other place in the world.”

Mr Barker’s ‘Northern Impressionism’ reflects life and love in his beloved Yorkshire, his family, friends and memories.

Tiddlers reminds Bob of when he and his friends used to visit a local river to catch sticklebacks, a ray-finned fish.

Whacky Racers is about the fun memories created by playing and building go-karts with his friends in the neighbourhood.
