LATEST NEWS: Update on arrest after crash involving police car and Range Rover
A MALE has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving following a crash involving a car he was in and a marked police vehicle.
Officers followed a black Range Rover which was reported stolen onto Old Mill Lane, Bingley, when it collided with a marked police car and then crashed into a wall of a building.
This incident took place at around 1pm today (Saturday, August 19).
Two males then left the scene but one of them was later arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.
Nobody was injured in the crash, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman added.

Pictures sent to the Telegraph & Argus show damage to both vehicles and the black Range Rover crashed into the side of a building on Millgate, next to the Old White Horse pub.
A police spokesman said: “Police investigating the theft of a motor vehicle in Bingley have arrested a male.
“Officers followed a vehicle which was reported stolen onto Old Mill Lane, Bingley, shortly before 1pm today (Saturday, August 19).
“The vehicle was in collision with a police vehicle before two males fled the scene.
“One of the males was arrested soon afterwards on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.
“Nobody was seriously injured as a result of the collision.”
