TWO Bradford City players received points on their driving licences last month after they each committed an offence.

Defender Daniel Oyegoke and goalkeeper Harry Lewis were dealt with at court in July.

Oyegoke, 20, of Harrow, Greater London, pleaded guilty to exceeding a 30mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order, at Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court on July 4.

He was caught doing 35mph in a black Mercedes GLC Diesel Coupe on the A40, in the centre of London, between its junctions with North Wharf Road and Bramley Road, on December 12 last year.

The right-back, who joined the Bantams on loan this summer from Premier League side Brentford, was clocked exceeding the road's 30mph speed limit by an automatic camera device.

Oyegoke, who was sent off for a second yellow card in City's opening day away fixture against Crawley, was on loan at MK Dons in the Sky Bet League One at the time of the offence.

The 20-year-old was sentenced on the same day as he pleaded guilty and the court handed him three points on his driving licence.

He was also ordered to pay £606 in total, which included a £369 fine, a surcharge of £147 to fund victim services and costs of £90.

Meanwhile, City number one, Lewis, 25, of Shrewsbury, pleaded guilty to failing to provide police with the identity of a driver who was alleged to have committed an offence, at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on July 12.

The offence related to a request made in Bradford by, or on behalf of, the Chief Officer of Police for West Yorkshire, on February 6 this year.

The request was for information from Lewis relating to the identification of the driver of a black Audi Q2, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Lewis, who came to the Bantams on a two-year deal from Southampton in the transfer window last summer and has followed up 55 appearances last season by starting every game for City so far at the start of this campaign, was given six points on his licence.

The 25-year-old was also ordered by the court to pay £1,382 in total.

This includes a £923 fine, a £369 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £90.

Lewis also faced a charge of speeding over 30mph but this offence was withdrawn.
