A BRADFORD doctor is celebrating after reaching a career milestone.

Dr Amir Khan has marked reaching his 20th year working as an NHS doctor.

He works as a GP at the Ridge Medical Centre in Great Horton, Bradford, and is also well known for his regular appearances on television.

 

Dr Amir can regularly be seen on ITV daytime programmes including Good Morning Britain and Lorraine. He has also filmed documentaries for the ITV Tonight series.

He has also appeared on Channel Five shows including GPs Mobile Surgery and GPs: Behind Closed Doors.

He took to social media to record the milestone and also gave advice to newly-qualified doctors.

Dr Amir posted: “Today marks my 20th year working as an NHS doctor.

“To all those newly qualified doctors starting today: Congratulations, it took hard work to get here.

“Look after yourselves, your health is important too. Listen to nurses, they know their stuff.”
