A WOMAN has been fined after she was caught speeding on a major Bradford district road.

Sadaf Rashid, 27, of Jesmond Avenue, Bradford, faced a charge of exceeding a 50mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order.

She was caught speeding at 76mph in a 50mph section of Sir Fred Hoyle Way, also known as the Bingley Bypass.

The offence took place on October 5, 2021.

Rashid was handed six driving licence points, fined £269 and ordered to pay £110 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for this offence.

She faced no separate penalty for a second charge of driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road/in a public place without due care and attention.

This offence took place on the Aire Valley Road, Keighley, also on October 5, 2021.

Rashid pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on June 29, 2023.
