A WOMAN has spoken of her anger over this fly-tipped mess.

She has lived on Carr Bottom Road in Greengates for several years and has seen numerous spates of fly-tipping in the area.

In the most recent incident, she said around three to four tonnes of rubbish was left outside her home and included laminate flooring, plaster, and glass.

Bradford Council is now investigating the mess and slammed fly-tipping as "unacceptable".

The woman, who did not want to be named, said: “This is the worst I’ve seen. It’s happened quite a few times over the years.

“We get bouts of fly-tipping here all year round, even in the winter.

“It took three of us 50 minutes, to move it to the side because it was blocking our drive. There was smashed glass all over the floor, so it was quite dangerous.

“We couldn’t get the car out of the drive, otherwise.”

She added: “We’re middle-aged, so we can still move about but there’s some people who have hospital appointments and it’s difficult for ambulances and taxis to get here if the road is blocked with fly-tipping.

“It’s dangerous. I wish they’d realise that there’s people who live here. People who need to get out and about and it’s hazardous.”

The fly-tipping was reported to Bradford Council and was cleared within a couple of days. It is now being investigated.

A Bradford Council spokesperson said: “Our Environment Enforcement Officers removed this fly-tipping once it was reported to us and they are investigating it.

“We take fly-tipping very seriously, as it blights communities and is unacceptable so we do everything we can to crack down on it.

“If anyone has information about fly-tipping, please report it at www.bradford.gov.uk/flytipping or call 01274 434366.”
