A TECHNICAL rescue unit from the fire service was called to Bradford city centre to help a girl who got her "hand stuck in a bowling ball".
Bradford Fire Station was called at 7.31pm tonight to the Leisure Exchange, in Vicar Lane to help release a person who got their thumb stuck in a bowling ball.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) said: "Someone got their thumb stuck in a bowling ball and they've gone down to try and release it.
"They've tried to get it out of the ball but it wouldn't come out so they've called Cleckheaton's technical rescue unit. They have specialist cutting equipment."
A passerby at the scene said: "There are two firemen stood outside Hollywood Bowl with a girl with her hand stuck in a bowling ball.
"She’s wrapped up in their fireman coats so looks like they’re waiting to cut the ball off."
