POLICE have celebrated an "amazing" resident who handknitted trauma teddies for child victims.
Sergeant Terri Green, from the Baildon, Bingley and Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team, posted on Twitter about a selection of 12 small bears that she was handed by a member of the public from Baildon.
The bears are trauma teddies - these are given to children to comfort them after an upsetting incident.
The donated dozen include different coloured bears, some decked in full black police outfits and others in yellow hi-vis jackets.
Sergeant Green said: "Look at what one of my amazing Baildon residents has donated.
"She has knitted trauma teddies for us.
"Trauma teddies, are handknitted comforters for children who have experienced an upsetting incident."
