A JAPANESE-Brazilian fusion restaurant officially opened its doors in Bradford city centre (today).
SakkuSamba, at The Broadway, is the second of its kind in the UK after the concept first launched in central Manchester last year.
Similar to its Manchester counterpart, the new venue spans two floors and has space for 130 seats.
Downstairs, guests will find a unique coffee shop serving up matcha and beetroot lattes as well as cold drinks, sandwiches, and cakes between 7.30am and 6.30pm each day.
The immersive dining experience comes to life in the main restaurant upstairs.
The venue is adorned with cascading Sakura trees and dimly lit with hues of pink and purple.
SakkuSamba’s dining concept uses tablet technology, where guests can order unlimited tapas-style plates for a set price and its menu includes more than 150 varied Japanese-Brazilian dishes.
From Brazilian Picanha to Japanese Hosomaki and Fresh Sashimi, the unique menu celebrates the fusion of the two cultures.
There are nods to both cultures throughout SakkuSamba's cocktails, with Brazilian Caipirinhas and Japanese Iced Teas featured on the menu, as well as an extensive mocktail selection.
The group behind SakkuSamba also includes Japanese restaurant SAKKU and Brazilian rodizio restaurant Estabulo, with sites across the UK.
On this Bradford opening, Zac Issak, group CEO, said: “SakkuSamba is all about creating an incredible dining experience.
“From the moment guests walk through the doors, to the minute they leave they’ll be blown away by our stunning decor, unique cocktails, beautiful menu and high-end service.
“We set out to bring something completely different to Bradford, and that’s exactly what we’ve done here. SakkuSamba is set to become the go-to place to dine in this city.”
A VIP launch evening featuring DJs and dancers was held last night.
The restaurant opened its doors to the public for the first time at lunchtime today and bookings can now be made online.
SakkuSamba will be open from Monday to Saturday from noon to 10pm and on Sundays from noon to 9pm.
