PLANS have been lodged to turn the space above a fish and chip shop into offices.
The planning application is for the first floor of The Cove on Station Road in Horsforth.
It states: "The scheme proposed is simple in nature and aims to make an improvement to the workings of the existing first floor.
"Careful consideration has been taken in ensuring all parts of the proposals conform where possible to guidance and policy and that the proposals sit comfortably with the existing site and the surrounding area.
"The detail of the scheme has been carefully considered and the proposal does not prejudice residential amenity or the character of the surrounding area."
The application adds: "The use of local tradesmen will provide some economic benefit to the local area, as well as an end result, increasing useage of the space and increase in local employment."
