ALL lanes are now open on the M62 after one person was injured following a crash involving two HGVs this morning.

The National Highways tweeted: "All lanes are now OPEN on the M62 westbound between J25 Brighouse and J24 Huddersfield following a collision involving two HGV's.

"Please allow extra time if travelling in the area as delays of 60 minutes remain and approximately eight miles of congestion."

Lanes one and two had been closed this morning on the westbound carriageway between J25 (Brighouse) and J24 (Huddersfield) after two HGVs crashed.

A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We received an emergency call at 6.44am this morning to report a collision between two HGVs on the M62 between junctions 25 and 24 near Brighouse.

"An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was conveyed to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary."

The caused traffic chaos on the M62 queues have been stretching all the way back to Birstall, while adjoining routes have also been congested.
